Ian Seiferling is the co-founder and CEO of Advaviv. He grew up in the sparsely populated Canadian prairies, where he developed a strong interest in nature and the intricate interactions within natural systems. That initial passion has guided his career objectives.

Ian has worked as a field biologist, an environmental consultant, and a biodiversity researcher. As a postdoctoral research fellow at MIT, he focused on the nexus of environmental science and urban planning and design at the MIT Senseable City Lab.

Ian holds a BsC in Biology from the University of Regina, a Masters in Ecology from the University of Quebec at Montreal, and a PhD in Biology from the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivieres.
